    the beginning.         found abandoned in a tomb within the memorial gardens of the grand necropolis, gwendolyn minerva ingellvar has had a tumultuous upbringing. with no next of kin available to take her in, she was placed in the care of the city's orphanage. it was in her formative years that she carried a rebellious streak, much to the chagrin of her guardians.as she grew older however, she was visited by the entity known as vorgoth, who viewed her particular gifts were squandered on the streets and were far better suited for the mourn watch. it was then that she joined the ranks as an apprentice and began her studies. with an mind for academy, gwendolyn excelled in her studies, but was not without its challenges.her induction into the order was one of her proudest achievements, a means to end a life that threatened poverty and mediocrity, she took her new oaths in earnest. her work within the mourn watch became her pride, a joy in her life that she had sorely lacked. and for years, she continued in an upward trajectory.    of the end.      
and then—the war of the banners began. A rebellion lead by undead nobility within the city, a threat to the lives of all of nevarra as they sought to overthrow the seated king, king markus pentaghast. rumors have swirled for years that the current king had perished and has been living secretly as an undead, but no confirmations could ever be made from the castle. though it was largely unknown at the start of the conflict who has stoked the flames of said rebellion, it was gwendolyn ingellvar who would discover it was the revived corpse of tylus van markham the former king of nevarra— who had sought rebellion against the pentaghast family in the time following the fourth blight. and he sought to reclaim it once more.during a battle that almost breached into the city streets, gwendolyn was captured by undead nobility loyal to van markham, bringing them to a tomb in which he occupied to dole out his plans. it is here, for several days, gwendolyn became the focus of the dead king's ire. tortured, starved, both for information as well as sport.when the scope of his plans had been revealed over the course of his maniacal ravings, gwendolyn made the decision, even if it would cost her own life, to destroy him. it balks in the face of her order, a direct violation of her oath that she'd sworn to protect the funerary dead. but the potential cost, the loss of life, the tyranny—she could not allow it to happen to the city she loves, to the people she's grown to care for.and in a violent last stand, she emitted a blast of extreme necrotic power that it collapsed the tomb in on the undead nobility within, and reduced tylus van markham to ash. nothing of him remained. though her efforts were commended for the safe rescue of every member of her party, for preventing a full scale incursion on the grand necropolis itself and the attempted coup against seated king markus, gwendolyn was forced out of the order on a sabbatical, an exile more like.    of the beginning.      
wounds still healing, her tail between her legs, and a resentment brewing, it was a thankful thing that she would be discovered by one varric tethras and was given an offer she couldn't very well refuse. and started her on the path that would inevitably lead her to becoming rook, and all the responsibilities it would soon carry.    main story choices.

To take in the world she had only been able to see in passing while on her travels to stop the Evanuris. Adept in field combat medicine, she excelled in numerous notable incursions, most of which she had done under the command of Commander Shepard. A loyal operative, Gwendolyn has stuck by Shepard since Eden Prime, through the stint with Cerberus, all the way to the end as they fought for the fate of the galaxy against the Reapers. yennefer of vengerberg     the witcher series, verse dependent, she/her, faceclaim: in-game/anya chalotra. a beautiful, dangerous, and powerful sorceress. she crosses paths with the witcher, Geralt of Rivia, changing her life and her destiny forever. the yearning is real.

★ Jester Lavorre     crit. role/tmn, verse dependent, she/her, faceclaim: animation/laura bailey. a tiefling cleric of the traveler, a member of the mighty nein, and an all around sweet menace to society. chaotic but her heart is often in the right place, jester is often easily excitable and will say whatever is on her mind--a filter does not exist.★ kashaw vesh     crit. role/tlovm, verse dependent, he/him, faceclaim: animation/brock o'hurn. a cleric of vesh and her betrothed from the moment of his birth (mystra and vesh deserve each other, fucking creeps) but upon discovering her true nature, kash attempted to cleave her from the world, but couldn't. from that point on, kash swore to use his abilities for good to stave off his evil goddess's impulses. all of this just to get saddled with vox machina and all their ill-fated adventures. but with zahra at his side, anything feels possible.★ occtis tachonis     crit. role campaign 4, 20, he/him, faceclaim: canon art/owen painter. the youngest son of the sundered house tachonis, a wizard necromancer with a soft heart and unsettlingly quiet nature wishes only for the freedom of the people of araman, even willing to betray his house for justice.★ Percival Fredrickstein Von Musel Klossowski de Rolo III     crit. role/tlovm, verse dependent, he/him, faceclaim: animation/Matthew Noszka. this guy has had it pretty rough: whole family murdered by people he (shouldn't have) trusted, left for dead himself. he channeled that rage into engineering his pepperbox firearms, inadvertently bringing about an arms war with a woman he had called friend, once. now, a member of the adventuring party, vox machina, percy struggles with his need for revenge and respite, realizing he cannot have one while still dallying with the other.★ Vax'ildan Vessar     crit. role/tlovm, verse dependent, he/him, faceclaim: animation/manish dayal. the roguish twin brother to vex'ahlia, he who makes too many sacrifices and always manages to pay the price (even at the expense of his own life) vax may not be the first to chime in to make the difficult play, but he will do it when he knows its the only way. fiercely loyal to those who deserve it, deeply struggles with self worth, and my god, man, just let keyleth in already.
